Default Beginner here, need help setting up a PS1 emulator

Hi, i am new to the emulation scene and want to get the PS1 emulator up and running on my laptop. Kinda clueless as to how to do so despite researching.. So would appreciate if someone would help me via Teamviewer to get the PS1 emulator functioning smoothly? thanks, not planning on emulating any intensive games. Only 2D games and Vagrant Story.

I would be more than happy to help you set it up but if the chosen emulator is epsxe you made the wrong choice for a truly easy set up and forget it kinda deal.

RetroArch is the best with its 3 PSX emulator cores to choose from, its like you are using the real deal but with plenty of enhancement options to choose from if accuracy is not your bad of chips.

I run this on my laptop as well and runs just fine.

BTW Tales of Vesperia is awesome.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

Here's a link to an ePSXe package with a wide selection of plugins and BIOS. These will work with later ePSXe versions, though there may be more recent version of any of them which you can find on Google.

PSXDATACENTER.com is a handy site with working configurations for any game you might want to play. Some games require specific video settings to work right, and this site makes it easy to get any game working.

As for configuring, ePSXe includes a wizard that will make that easy, except in the case of those games that require a very specific configuration. Just follow the Config Wizard and for any games that don't work, check the psxdatacenter site.

Vagrant Story has high system requirements compared to most PS1 games, so if your laptop is very old (or a netbook) it may not run well. Great game
