Default Trouble Loading ROMS - ePSXe. Help very much appreciated.

    Hi guys.

Firstly, thanks for reading - I assume you guys get many newbie-type posts. Apologies for adding to the noise.

So, I've downloaded the latest ePSXe, when I run BIOS, the loading screen is fine:

However, when attempting to run an ISO, that is where the problems begin. I think it may perhaps be to an incompatible file, as my ROM looks like this:

Size:	2.5 KB

I'm not sure how they're meant to look like, but it seems like the obvious problem. However every ROM I download seems to look like this. Is there a way to resurrect these files? Is there perhaps something else wrong?

Thanks again for reading, and any help.

So, turns out I just needed to download a 7z extractor. I am now playing Crash Bandicoot and life is good.

This has however led me to another query, which is how am I able to save/load progress? Thanks!
