    Default Burning to a disc

    Hi.

Just wondering, if you have a ISO, and you burn it to a disc, would it work with the console?

    Thanks

It depends on the console. Older consoles such as Sega CD, 3DO etc didn't require a mod chip to run backups, newer systems require some sort of mod or disc swap to run backups.

Depends on the console, which one?

Also, wrong section, we'll move this thread to Everything Console when you reply to my post.

With a Dreamcast, probably. Only the Dreamcasts produced towards the very end of the console's lifespan included DRM. The same is true of some other older consoles. Pretty much anything from the 90s that used discs before burning discs at home was cheap/viable didn't bother much, with the exception of the PS1. You can also buy modified consoles online that allow burned games to be played, but they can be pricey.
