Default Do you ever listen to video game/anime/movie music?

I know I do. I'm listening to the song Space Lion from Cowboy Bebop right now. And, if you do what are some of your favorite soundtracks from any of the mediums I mentioned?

Yes, I do. I like to listen to soundtracks for games and movies I've recently played and watched. The Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Mixes and Soundtracks are a good example of it.

Of course, and I've started using this stuff as background music in podcasts I produce (though I really need a larger library)/

I collect tons of lossless flac game soundtracks, that explain much?

I have 500 game soundtracks, 80 movie, 30 series and an uncountable number of albums from the 60s to present day....and whatever game/movie doesn't have a soundtrack THEN I WILL DAMN WELL MAKE IT! XD Also, here's my contribution Minigun music > : D

For the past few years, these kind are the only music I only ever really listen to anymore. On my phone I use the Play Music and Game Radio apps to listen to video game music. There are also many sites from where I get music from. I am also even buying some. Check out my Youtube channel if anyone is interested and you will see how into this I am. Just search for Karm VGMC.

If I just type in the words "Final Fantasy 20020220" and "The Black Mages", will that make the answer clear?

Heck yeah I do. I love turning off music for old retro online games and replacing it with old psx rpg soundtracks. Or sometimes I can find other solo stuff made by the people that made the soundtracks.

I used to when I was younger, but it kind of came with a social stigma. I didn't want to be that weird kid who listened to OSTs instead of regular music. Nowadays, I still tend to stay away just out of habit, but some games have damn fine soundtracks. Shadow of the Colossus is one of my few exceptions.

Yes I do. I love 8-bit, 16-bit sound rips and well done midis. I use to love going to ocremix to get cool tunes but, the last time I was there they had changed things around so much that I couldn't find or download anything. I also listen to newer stuff like TG16-CD/SCD, PSX, DC, PS2 and so on. A cool thing to do to set the mood is to listen to something when you're reading a story like say for something scary you'd listen to Castlevania or Splatterhouse or maybe Resident Evil.

I listen to quite a bit of video game music. There is a lot of good video game music. A lot of SNES games had amazing soundtracks. Donkey Kong Country series, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario World, and the Genesis had some good tunes, Streets of Rage 2 had a great soundtrack.
