Unhappy Can't unzip PS2 ISO's. "there are some data after the end of the payload data."

After downloading CvsS2, i tried unzipping it with 7zip but I only get a file with the archived file inside of it (also the error code in the title while extracting), and when I try to unzip that file I get the files but with a corrupted ISO.

I've tried this with Virtua Fighter 4 and Soul Calibur 2 now, unfortunately, all the same.

Also, this only seems to happen with the PS2 ISO's as I've downloaded and run SNES, GBA, and NDS roms before.

Use the latest version of 7zip from the official site. You need windows OS to use it.
Any other archive managers for other OS that claim compatibility aren't guaranteed to work (they may or may not).

If you still see errors it's possible you got an incomplete and therefore corrupt download, so...
    Use a download manager.
Use a direct physical connection (with a cable) to your router, wifi is a common enough reason why downloads become corrupted.

I am using the latest version. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling, too.
Should I use 16.04 or the new beta version of 7-zip?

I would try the more recent beta.

    Still not working
Alright so here is the error I get

Name:	bug.png
Views:	675
Size:	17.6 KB
ID:	52637
And that gives me a file which has the same archived folder inside.
I think this is happening because it's an ISO?
I just downloaded a ROM of FF3 and I could unzip it and play it normally. Every ROM I've downloaded works perfectly fine but I can't get ISO's to work (only once when I copied an ISO of melee from another pc to this pc through an external hardrive).
I'm not sure what the problem is... maybe it's the type of the file being a "7z archive"?
    Thank you for the help.

UPDATE: I've tried 7zip, Winrar, and Winzip all to no avail...

Grab the latest version of 7-zip or just ignore the warning if you like as long as the crc still remains the same after extraction then you know for sure it is ok and actually extracted fine despite the warning

Winrar is not needed for this and Winzip is more than redundant now (It has no use at all now)

I've gotten the extra payload data thing too extracting - it's never been a problem though and as long as it finished and got the iso it's been fine. Got it from extracting re outbreak and have almost beaten the game with no problems for example.

Edit: I've been fiddling around latley with ps2 emulation and tried almost a dozen games so far and almost everyone of them had that.

what checksums does it have? before and after extraction

before extraction 7-zip will tell you the basic crc value that is a crc32 value, after extraction you can use almost any checksum tool to check

crc or crc32 should be (according to redump)
    EU version 6359751b or 6359751B
    US version 79595100

Case is not a factor as its a hex value

The images are examples of the CRC while still compressed and then after extraction

the numbers match one another so it extracted just fine

7-zip can do this for you if you use it like a browser just right click a file you want to check the checksum for and move the mouse to CRC then you can either click an individual type or hit the * that will show all types of checksums, (7-zip can integrate that into you windows browser anyway) do remember that you need to do that on the actual file not the zip or 7z file, if you need to check those either just oipen them as I have or open them and use the same option as I described to show whatever checksum you want to look at

Thinking about it this sounds more like download issues rather than extraction issues

Use WinRAR, rather than 7Zip, to unextract these. 7Zip is still required, though, as it has some dependent master files that WinRAR relies on.

Winrar isn't going to do anything better than 7zip. In fact more often than not it isn't worth bothering with.
    It isn't freeware anyway.

It's still free just shareware licenced

But if anything WinRAR causes more problems than anything else for users (mostly due to lack of understanding), as you say though it is just about redundant now anyway it has little use today that 7-zip can do

Winrar was good for mass compressing of large rom sets but there are other ways of doing this, but it is possibly one of the most hassle free ways, personally I use clrmamepro for that though, but it's not for everyone (again due to lack of knowledge of how to use it)

For extraction needs 7-zip is the way to go, it was ever since it was released, just took a bit of time for most to realise this

It is. Ignore the payment message that pops up whenever you open an archive. NO FUNCTIONS OR features get removed when the trial ends, anyways. (Have been using it for well over 7 years.)
