    If it was an earlier game in the series I would say ScummVM, but for 7 you need to use dosbox. It should run that way which is probably why it was never added to ScummVM.

    I have no idea what file is missing going by what you posted. I've never emulated this title tbh.
    If you can get disc images of the game you should be able to mount them (even just using free virtual drive software) and I think there are installers out there for modern OS.
    And no I'm not referring to GOG releases which are considered warez here...I mean there are installers out there for people with original game discs (but if you can get backup copies of the discs it should be the same).

    Don't install old stuff like this in a systems folder/directory, this includes Program Files.

    I don't think you are familiar with dosbox, however I will wait for more answers. There is a problem with the soundfiles from what it's said.

    Read/write access is limited for system folders in modern OS.
    You may actually have the file there somewhere but whatever you're doing doesn't let dosbox access it.

    The pic you provided doesn't give any extra info really. If anyone comes in here the first thing they will ask for is more info...are you using original CDs?

    http://sierrahelp.com/Patches-Update...tallers.html#L

    Is worth a look at

    The game does work in dosbox though it has been some time since I looked at it myself mind

    You may need to setup a different sound driver for it to work correctly though hard to tell without downloading it myself and having a go on my end

    Fine game, i never thought about Larry before.
    LSL7 is much more bettter than LSL6!
    But for me it was a little bit tricky.

    The file LSL7DOS.BAT should contain:
    sier.exe resource.cfg

    and

    the file RESOURCE.CFG should contain:
    directory = \
    CDROM=0
    cmd = SIER.EXE
    audio=.\music
    resSfx=.\
    resAud=.\
    resMap=.\
    patchDir=.\;.\patches\
    movieDir=.\movie

    Regards

    EDIT

    Tested works fine no extra files needed no need to change anything either
    No setup or install required

    Path must be

    C:\LSL7

    so extract what you get from our main site to a folder named LSL7 and mount the root folder that has the LSL7 folder as C

    to run go into the LSL7 folder and type LSL7 and hit enter

    A stupid cracktro will show hit ESC to get rid of it and the game should be running now with sound

    Not sure I deleted it after testing :/

    Sorry I just don't have an interest in playing the game

    Those types of games normally do though have options like that unless it never was a talkie game, I can't be sure with that game

    Think it was the CD version only that had speech. Generally how it went with Sierra games of that time.

    But yeah there should be options for subtitles /speech in game.

    Edit: nm looks like the only version we have is the cd one judging by the size.
