    Default needed help and assistance for mortal kombat trilogy rom. (ps1.)

    hello. may somebody please assist me in using the mortal kombat trilogy rom in the ESPXE emulator?
    it comes with a cue and bin file and yes, i heard imgburn had malware, and i can't really ways on making them playable.

    When you are in the menu to open the game use the .cue file. You don't need imgburn for a bin and cue. But it is possible that it you have a .bin.ecm file that would need another step.

    If you had a .ecm file you would need to find ECMtools on Startpage or Google. Drag and drop your .ecm file on unECM.exe and it will output a working .bin file.

    Thanks for the reply.
    However, i have 30 bin files and 1 cue file. [i know the cue directs where the bin files start and go.] i don't have an ecm file though.
    so what should i do make it an .img file?
    edit: running the .cue file stops ePSXe. thanks for the help though.

    Wow not heard of ImgBurn having any sort of ware though I am possibly using an old version so it could have I guess, but that is usually from an optional install, nothing can be legally forced to install.

    Daemon Tools Lite is like that now but if you follow the install carefully you realise that all this extra software is optional, but you do need to take care when going through it's install to read every question and option correctly as blindly hitting yes or no will result in something extra installed as they switch round the way things are worded

    You can always use it's previous version called DVD-Decrypter that was later renamed ImgBurn when the development was forced to not include the decryption side of things that is for DVD Video's asides from that the functions are the same (except the plugin support that would help for Dreamcast CD burning)

    Anyway to go from multi bin files and a cue to a single bin+cue, follow the guide at

    wait, one last question, once i have saved my cue and bin file at the end, which file do i burn?

    Burn via the cue file

    a cue file will tell whatever software that reads it what tracks are inside the binary, without that all you will get is the data track (track01)

    if you are emulating you do not burn anything ePSXe can read the cue file directly, that is more reliable than running from a CD-R

    i am using an emulator though. so , like you said, there is no need to burn anything?
    i'm sorry, i'm not good at this.

    also, i am attempting at running the newly found cue file and it still doesn't work.
    thanks for the help so far by the way.
    do you recommend i restart the process by:

    -going on isobuster, extracting the cd with the bin file and etc.
    and then retry?

    Presuming you now have that single cue file and bin file and it is all ok

    You may not of setup ePSXe correctly with a bios image maybe...

    You will want ePSXe 1.7.0 or higher

    did you use 1.7.0?

    also what video plugin did you use?

    If Pete's OpenGL2 2.9 is not an option then go for Pete's OpenGL 1.77 or P.E.Op'S OpenGL 1.78 or Pete's D3D range of plugins

    If there is speed issues with any of those then go for P.E.Op'S soft plugin

    Always test with default settings first

    The game ran first try for me.

    Downloaded the game, extracted it
    converted by opening the cue in ISObuster and creating a new bin+cue named a little different to the original one "Mortal Kombat Trilogy (USA)" instead of "Mortal Kombat Trilogy (USA) (v1.1)"
    opened the new cue via OpenISO in ePSXe 1.7.0
    The game ran just fine (I used P.E.Op'S OpenGL 1.78) I used Windows mode just to test

    what is OpenISO?

    i'll try what you just said now.
    but what is OpenISO?

    edit: testing with 1.7.0.
    question though, i try to run the bios to see if it works, but it says cdrom not found.
    do i need to configure the cdrom feature?
