No, not silly. I prefer consoles.
Which is pretty normal for people around my age or even 10 years younger. Well, at least for people I know irl anyway.
The whole business of upgrading hardware all the time becomes boring after a decade or two. If you aren't playing current PC games you don't have to spend anywhere near as much on a PC and don't have to upgrade to a new one all the often.

I meant the quality of the story/dialogue.

I mean obviously I love video games, but if I was playing for the story (beyond stuff like loving the Yakuza story for how absurd and soap opera-y it is), well...just lol.
