It could be completely avoided by leaving the old UI for users that want it .

Think I read the reason why the old UI isn't there is due to how they've optimised this version. As I said, it really does seem faster for me.
Besides losing DownThemAll! completely I don't have any complaints about it now...just woke up and it isn't making me feel more disorientated than usual

Welp, put off ST Discovery for the last 3 episodes and catching up now. Episode 7 was fun, good old time loop Trek. And more Mudd

Wonder if we'll see that helmswoman chick actually get into things. The one that got her face fucked up in the pilot. It's still a little MTVish what with the party and stuff but it really does seem to be getting better - scratch that, non Klingon episodes are good.
