bless ya' for thinking about it sir bless ya ^^. Yup tried all that and i've connected via a HDMI cabla and yeah the resoslutions DO show up but the TV is incapable of doing them. As i said earlier it either shoves it off the top/bottom or the sides on eeeevery setting, i think its just the TV...however there is one good thing about it on the screen burn department, every 10 seconds or so it moves the screen by a couple of millimeters to always make sure things arn't static.....can be annoying but i guess it helps. I REALLY don't wanna be using it man believe me but it's the only TV in the house that has a HDMI slot the only other thing on my graph card is a DVI-D which can't be converted down to VGA

Sounds like a desktop overscaling issue, not unusual if you're using a tv.
What graphics card are you using?

So you've gone into Nvidia control panel and played around with some settings?
You should be able to adjust screen size and position in there.

    Not windows control panel settings.

Also have a look around in your tv menu settings to see if there are options for overscan.

Ok...my recon mission has brought up these results: 1) i can fiddle with the position and such but after about 20 seconds or so its reverting back (with a full screen to black and back again). 2) the only fecking options this TV has (that ican find atleast) is to change it from 16:9 to 4:3 while in TV mode, changing the hues (ya know like warm, cold, standard that type of thing) and fecking speaker balance :/ oh and update firmware via usb XD

Hmm. Well if we were talking about a laptop here maybe you could use clone option to see if that would fix the issue.

So the tv only has 16:9 and 4:3 options for HDMI? No options like full screen or auto?

If what I just read is correct it might be a rebranded Samsung S42AX-YB09...at least the motherboard anyway, maybe the panel is different (rebrands sometimes mix and match parts).

Managed to add Show your bookmarks back where it should be (so I can access them all very quickly). Default was stupid as I could only access recent bookmarks quickly, to see everything I had to dig a bit. Fuck doing that all the time.

It is noticeably faster for me anyway. It was only bookmarks access that got messed up but it's all cool now.

    Just a joke.

UI changes are the hardest one's to do, and often get a ton of backlash.
