we just have a small one where I live and as I said it's been so long since I've been in there I have no idea if they carry dvds or not anymore.

The original series is great though, if you like sci-fi with ridiculous humour you should definitely give it a go.

Ah damn. The one I go to is in a sizeable city and has some wealthy donors. Typically 50+ copies of any new movies across dvd/blu. I know they sell off most of them after the first few months of stronger activity.

Used BD would be fine but I'd be wary of any used DVDs from libraries. Unless they have a commercial disc repair machine.

That saddens me . I'll give it a go provided it isn't too pricey.

Yeah sometimes the discs are pretty gnarly. BDs are generally safe but I've encountered a few that skipped lol. I just let them know and check out another copy when that happens.

Might be where you are. You could always import if it's cheaper and you have a multi region DVD player.
DVD sets are probably cheaper and upscaling would be fine for something like that. BBC don't go nuts on remastering for BD afaik, in fact I'm not even sure the earlier series are available on BD (haven't checked recently). The more recent stuff should be on BD though as it was done in full HD anyway. There were digital releases for those.

    You could just

Eleven series, 67 episodes. They use Roman numerals for series (what you would call seasons).

Enh, we will buy it. Price is pretty reasonable. First 8 series together for $72 from Amazon.

Didn't check foreign DVD options yet but if it's cheaper, then that's the way I'd go.

    I have two .

Doesn't seem to be a BD release for it. The individual season releases or the US series release seem like the best choices.

I can't be bothered with TV/movies anymore for quality and laziness reasons.

Need those region free players for those much cheaper Aussie releases of various anime/cartoons.
