They are not really hard games but kinda unforgiving, but what I love about the Souls games is that it takes time to master them, and when you do, neither the controls, nor gravity, not the cheap mechanics can stop you. Would love to have more challenging experiences like these in current videogame industry.

DS2 is prolly the easiest out of all them.

They're hard if you're not that good at playing them. But as I said it's Demon's Souls that I've played the most.
Honestly I usually find hardest difficulty on SP FPS (like CoD WaW, Killzone 2, SE V2 & III and the like) easier than DS. My first PS3 controller got stick drift from playing Demon's Souls

Well it's kinda frustrating when you miss just one dodge roll and some big dude with a sword gets in a combo and rapes your ass. Blah. Blocking seems useless.

Almost wanted to start over with a mage or something but I'm at level 40 now and don't want to go through the nonsense of another beginning weak character. Oy and then some crazy thing appears out of the ground or thin air that's 10 times stronger than anything else in the area. Fuck. I don't even know how many souls I've lost. Prolly 20 levels worth by now. Get far, die. Die before you can get back. Lose souls forever.

Finally beat that giant tree thing or whatever last night though...ermmm early this morning.

I even had a thought of just deleting the fucking thing. If I want to grind for hours on end against the same enemies I may as well play Final Fantasy and run around in circles fighting random battles for ever.

Bleh, I'm getting really discouraged.

I adjusted to the controls eventually. It never stopped feeling awkward but I was used to the quirks. I thought Demon's Souls was the easiest due to grind points but I didn't play enough of DS/DS2 to find out if those had any.
