I've only had a quick look, but from what I've seen there is an adapter that allows you to use normal SD cards, (not sure whether it's plug and play) and probably an app for hackable consoles to set it up, . The price of official memory cards was putting me off.

are vita memory cards like the psp ones? I regret buying my psp memory cards they're supposed to be psp cards with a micro sd slot in them but the micro sd cards that came with them aren't the same as regular micro sd cards I found that out when I went to swap one out for a bigger micro sd.

Vita memory cards are proprietary and as such, Sony charged stupid prices compared to the same amount of storage on normal sd cards.
PSP has an adapter to allow normal micro sd cards.

Not checked. AFAIK it's still 3.60 HENkaku. It was the price of Vita memory cards that was putting me off.
