If you're interested I also see Blizzard have made the original Starcraft available for free. Crazy to think that game is pushing 20 years old - I reinstalled it this weekend and it barely feels like it's aged a day.

Seriously this. Replayed the Terran campaign about a year and a half ago, and the Zerg one last month. And graphics / some minor interface issues aside, you could genuinely release it as a new game nowadays and it would still be well received. I wouldn't say I'm an enormous fan of either Starcraft or RTS in general, but it's totally nuts just how well polished and ahead of the curve the first game was.

Blizzard RTS have never been overly friendly to turtling and the AI in WC3 is fairly aggressive.

If you play on higher difficulties they rush you like crazy. If you can weather that storm though you usually can coast into a win slowly.

Yeah, I appreciate all positive comments about Starcraft.

It's a fantastic game for its time but it does show its age when it lacks certains aspects in the campaign such as maximum groups limited by 12 units.
