$35-36 here, but of course you need a case and a fan as well as a power adapter. That's about $16 minimum. So realistically it's $52 and that's not counting stuff like micro sd cards (which one might already have on hand) as well as any peripherals you might need but again should also probably already have.

Yeah I had to put away my PS3 to have the PS4 out due to space concerns. All my vintage stuff I keep in another area.

Wow, that's pretty steep for a Pi. They're usually £30-40 here. An Xbone or PS4 is around the £200 mark.

I imagine the Xbone will drop in price considerably when the X comes out. The PS4 Pro I don't see getting cheaper for a while, at least not until the PS5 is looming. Sony want this to be their premium product and they'll likely start bundling games first.

No surprises on the Wii U and Vita. The latter is on track to become the Sega Saturn 2.0. Low sales + library of niche Japanese games = $$$$

$100au that's a Pi 3 starter bundle with everything you need basically, even has a card with shit on it (whatever, I didn't spend much time reading).
Yeah you could shave that down a bit by buying what you need in bits and putting it together but I wasn't interested in wasting my time doing that

£40 is like $65au.
£200 is $330 so we get the S cheaper on sale. There have been quite a few sales for it at various places (Aldi, Target, JB Hi fi and more) they seem to rotate flogging them off cheap for nearly the last 6 months. Usually a sale price is like $270 but some have been cheaper and you get physical games with them, so that can shave the cost down too as mostly it's stuff I wouldn't want.

I probably will wait until I can get an S closer to $200 (£100-120) though.
There aren't a heap of games I need to get for it now (I already have some), but I do want it for 2x Beth games that have mods.
Also the BC factor is appealing. Replay some of my multi platform faves too (Alien Isolation, Metro Redux, probably some AC games etc).

And as I said I can always use it for 4k when I upgrade my tv.

I just found a projector. Like an hour ago. Was checking one of the store rooms that was being cleaned out. Not anything fancy or anything but it works....kinda. Vga wouldn't work but hooked it up to the cable box and looked just fine

65w is max though dude, it only draws what it needs. Your 5w doesn't account for a display at all, and the laptop doesn't have network or resource issues.

5w is also the max for the latest and biggest power drawing device atm.
