No problem man. Glad I could help. I found this thread about 30 minutes before I hunted down that link on some 4-chan site or something. If you're looking for a laugh, I suggest you find the thread I'm talking about. A lot of funny trolling comments back and forth on there that can't be repeated here.

Somebody there says they're going to put out the roms for 8bmp final "when the magazine comes out". Not sure exactly when that's going to be. The link I posted here were from the EXE files. Somebody knew enough about the code to strip the roms out of the executables, which was pretty sweet of them to share.

I won't suggest to you that you wait on it and save the money, but it's up to you. Even if that guy makes good on his promise to release it in the future you're learning some new stuff. I'll be keeping tabs on that situation and if I see the link posted I'll be sure to put it up here for everybody as soon as I get it.

    Thanks again

    Hi mutantmachine

In case if you are still looking for the proper way to extract the rom from those kksn*.exe, check this link:

Good luck on your 8bmpF rom dump project

Thanks neko i was wondering how it was done.
Never underestimate the resilience of the pirate guild
Its sick that someone made a custom script for it.
Firedrop already linked the ripped roms.

    Update::
So i have a nes to famicom cartridge adaptor now so i could test the cartridge turns out i did wipe it accidentally when setting up the ripper.
A new cartridge is in the mail

    OOPS!

Hey... no chance you're getting a cart for 8BMP Final since you're going to be ripping carts, are you? I noticed that thread I was talking about has been dead since the middle of May and I have no idea if the magazine that was going to have the EXE file in it has even come out yet. Would love to get my hands on that rom.

    Sweet man. Thanks for sharing.

You have the 8BMP regular, right? If you still need that I can send it your way.

Thanks so much for dedication to share these gems with us. Nice that it doesn't use any complicated mappers too. I've registered here because of Your post thanks!

EDIT - PlayAsia states: Please note that this product is not licensed by Nintendo and may not run on Famicom, New Famicom and Twin Famicom consoles. It is advised to use the cartridge on an emulation-based console, such as the Retro Freak.
This is about 8BMPF. Is it working with famicom though? I've bought one for my famicom and I'm not sure if it'll even boot

So having had the cart for a week now i can say its a stubborn beast at the best.
It seems the chips on the board are 3.3 v while nes runs at 5v
My ripper also runs at 5v. and the only time ive gotten a rip to run it just garbles i must have tried about 20 times to rip it and only got ppu data once and it was garbled
Also this causes massive problems with the game completely crashing before i can listen to the whole soundtrack
Honestly it seems like trying to rip the cartridge is a fools errand.
A cd has just been announced for october 26th

I could do a hack with a resister and some soldering.
But their still a chance it wont work.

this is the amazon link if your interested

Already bought the cartridge, listened to it all without crashing. I can't seem to open it, do You have photos of PCB? I'd greatly appreciate that I really need em. Thanks in advance.

    Thanks a lot!
I just use the classic Famicom. No buffers made me wary of this cartridge though... Pure 5V for 3.3V chips can't be too good...

I can rip the music but it won't be of BEST OF THE BEST quality as it'll be from capture card I dunno if there is a demand though.
