    Default SD Card upgrading

    Hi all.

    I recently bought modded Wii.
It came with a low memory SD Card. So now im wanting to possibly put a new SD card in, one with more memory.

Now i dont understand the way it is moded etc, soooo, is it just a simple case of copying the files from the current SD card onto my laptop, then transfer them back onto the new SD card after formatting it?

So i can then add more games to it.

Thank you to any one who can offer any kind of help.

    Jme.

I don't use a SD at all with my softmodded Wii

The SD port is slow so alot of games will lag through it and the space is very limited

    USB however is much faster

I use my 2TB USB HDD to store
    Wii Games
    GameCube Games
    Homebrew software (Emulators included)
    Wii Ware/Virtual Console (Official Emulators)
I also store saves on it also as the internal Nand of the Wii is even more limited than an SD card

A USB HDD is going to be much less hassle and it will take some use before you run out of space for the next game where as the mas for SD last time I looked was 128GB that you could fit apx 20 to 25 full size Wii games onto it but some may lag due to the low speed of the SD port

While Zorlon is right, he didn't answer your question.

Yes you can just copy the files off the SD card to your PC, and then to a new bigger SD card. Although, don't delete your original SD card till your certain your new one is fine.
*PSA* Wii Redump collector's can now unscrub ISO files. So scrubbed games can now be verified. You can find the program to do this here
