    Default EPSXE Audio/Video Stutter

I literally just started using EPSXE for the first time today. I tried booting up Disc 1 of Metal Gear Solid (First time playing that too), and everything worked OK. But there is an annoying video/audio stutter during cutscenes and Codec calls that makes them nearly impossible to watch. I was hoping someone could help me out

If this is your first time then its a fantastic time to ditch epsxe for what is truly better, RetroArch using the Mednafen PSX core to play Playstation games easily and with optional enhancement choices.

Sorry if that was not on topic but I had to nip this in the bud ASAP.

I hope other EP members are RA users as helping members such as yourself would be a cakewalk.

Feel free to message me to grab my attention in case you need help.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

Sorry for the late reply, you ever use XMPP or IRC?

I can't do the flip flopping with PMs like I did with members before as I am now busy with things.

to start this off, what OS are you on?

    You have a controller right?

http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/windows/ (That has both 32 and 64 bit variants, pick what you need and download the one that says RetroArch.7z)

http://emulation.gametechwiki.com/in...Emulator_Files (grab the top link that says RetroArch Bios and put that folder in the Retroarch root folder aka the one with the RetroArch.exe in it)

    ePSXe

either use the default sound plugin or make sure the Metal Gear Solid option is enabled in the external sound plugin you chose.

Set the FPS limit to 63 and check Use Limit

Most settings are found at http://psxdatacenter.com though they tend to use OpenGL2 but the same settings tend to work with the original OpenGL also
