Question Chrono Trigger Issue with OpenEmu - Password Controls

    Heya,

I've been using EmuParadise for a while, but this is my first time on these forums.

My issue is one that others have had emulating Chrono Trigger. When you're in the dome and have to open the door using a 'password' (which is holding down L and R and then pressing A) the emulator fails. I saw other people solved this by setting L and R to the same button, but this is not possible with OpenEmu. Has anyone else run into this problem and have you found a solution?
I really appreciate any help, if it isn't an issue on other emulators I suppose I'll switch to play.

    Cheers

Have you attempted to use RetroArch on Mac?

I wonder if you will have better results and you should be able to use your battery save with it so you do not have to start over.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

Thanks- that didn't work for me, but I appreciate the suggestion.

I found the answer here for anyone that comes looking. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qxnX6wEGxgE
The solution here is for no$gba but it also works for desmume.

replacing the config for L trigger and R trigger should not make any difference at all, but can't argue that it doesn't help either

never had the issue but I use a control pad not keyboard keys and would of understood if you had been using a Xbox 360 pad as they have issues with the lower triggers being used at once

it's not that key limit that a keyboard has that is if I remember 3 keys at the same time, anything above that it fails (maybe less keys for certain combo's not sure but is a very odd issue and strange that is is not limited to any single emulator)

So it was not a emulator incompatibility but the controller itself?
