Default building dreamcast isos with cdda tracks ?

    Hi,

I'm looking for a way to create some .cdi image with cdda files inside.

I'using the family guy method for build .cdi, it works well but I can't inject the raw tracks inside...
With the tokyo higway challenge iso, There is a tool I can inject the mp3 in the .cdi, I could inject for tried the cdda from deep fighter ^^ I know I can make good wav and mp3 files from the raw files. But I can't inject inside my isos...

Do you have a metod for doing that ?

    Best regards.

I have done this though not recently I must admit

But what I done was break the process you used up into smaller parts

1st part is extracting the tacks
and extracting the data from the data tracks
and bin hacking and an isofix
2nd part is counting the all the tracks and using building a disc image with the all the CDDA so you can get the lba pos of the data track (can be done without burning, you can use a small dummy iso for this)
3rd part involves putting the lba calculation to use, hacking the ip.bin ect next is mostly the same process as above but with the real iso

The external tool I used most was mds4dc

If you are looking for disc images though with the CDDA intact just grab them from the main site

Also if you know how these are made you should be able to figure out on your own

Thanks for you answer, sorry for the late I was borried because of job and family.

I try to build a .cdi of deep fighter with the cdda tracks (I friend ask me to do it with the italian version because it doesn't exist).

For binhacking you use binhack32 I suppose, and I have a isofix version 1.3 I hope it's the good one.
When you count do you add the track2.raw ?
How you use the dummy in order to know the lba ? The lba is the adress of the raw tracks ? I see often the start of the games at 45000 lba...
So when you the lba you don't hack the ip.bin with ip.hack, you do it manually with an hexedit like software ?

bootdream use the mds4dc but maybe for the lba I have to run it via the ms dos command ?

    I continue to try it.

Thanks for all, you have a very good skill.

45000 is the original LBA of all Dreamcast games

Tracks two is not used if I remember

Tracks 3 (data) and the last track are used also data contain the game files tracks between those are the CDDA tracks

Track 2 is a warning that is it not a music CD and track 1 is some PC data files

I never used bootdreams that may even do the whole process for you anyway

Sorry exacts is not something I remember it has been some time since I bothered with this and do not have the Italian version of that game in any format to do any testing

But if you look at guides from Echelon ect you will get a better idea of what is being done when building a bootable CD for the Dreamcast (there method is old though and requires burning as part of the process but the other methods do not need any burning done)

Ok I must not care about the track 2.raw and counting from track4.raw as cdda_001.

I think the dummy is in for add a file to the datas in order to have a size of a really game as 1185760800 octets in french. So the lba I have to use in mds4dc is the size of the datas for insert the cdda.

Thanks I give it a try.
