I'm not an expert with specs (yet), so I'll make a few guesses at what the problem could be, and let you run some tests

First, what's your cpu usage during idle? For my pc, it ranges from 0%-3%. Have you changed any parts in your PC before? I don't think your PC type usually comes with a graphics card, but I may be wrong. The speed of the RAM (memory) may or may not be an issue, you'll need to ask someone else. What's your laptop's specs? It would be nice tohave a machine to compare against.

Best of luck getting the game running, hope you find your answer

Your CPU/GPU are both junk. Getting a new computer is your best bet. Your best options are building your own computer or getting a prebuilt on a clearance/significant sale.

I advise checking out sites like OCN (Overclock.net) or Toms Hardware for build advice. I'd advise going to either or both even if you intend to get a prebuilt so you can inquire about specs.

I can continue to assist with general advice if need be but, I don't actively keep up with certain aspects of PC hardware (ie. PSUs).

If you don't want to spend a lot of money, simply use a USB keyboard and mouse or a USB controller with your laptop.

i can secound what Eldred said & offer a good pointer for peoples looking to spend little on a system which kicks ass, firstly you need an oldish Dell CAD Station with i7 cpu, replace the PSU & GPU respectively with something beefier and your done, it costs very little with respect to modern day gaming rigs. HINT - GPU GTX770 Lightening (with internal case modification using hacksaw) & PSU Corsair 800watt Gold.

Also ghz aren't everything in regards to the cpu on your laptop. You also may have better integrated graphics. Knowing your laptop specs like mentioned will help compare.

Wasn't aware P4's had two core models (Pentium D I think was the first one) however you can find an option in Dolphin for for enabling dual core mode - so make sure the box is ticked for that.

P4 is really the minimum for Dolphin etc.

But as mentioned yet again your PC is very low end for Dolphin emulation. You may also just want to find a WII and mod it, they're a dime a dozen these days. It would be the cheapest option.

Edit: you also may be running a lot more background stuff on your desktop so make sure to close everything down- internet, antivirus etc. May be able to squeeze out a couple more fps.

They are from around the same time iirc. You can also get pentium dual cores which can be 32 or 64bit. I have an old Acer laptop here that is pentium dual core 32bit.

I'll agree that the GPU is garbage, integrated by itself may or may not do better. But is the CPU that awful? It's older, but my core2duo with around the same specs runs Dolphin fine for some dolphin games. I don't think Spyro would be that cutting edge, but idk.

I'll agree with this. I love my Logitech Controller, $20, works with analog L and R, and even compatible with PS3. Only thing missing in my model is rumble.

Pretty sure core2duo is technically better than p4 dual core, even if the basic specs appear to be the same.

Pretty sure the core2duo performs much much more calculations than a P4. Remember ghz isn't as important as it used to be on old single core machines.

My Core2duo e7500 with a GT710 can run Doubledash and Windwaker flawlessly yet REmake etc.. runs so slow it may as well be playing backwards. It really depnds on the game.

Yes, it is. It might be possible to use a Core2 CPU with the motherboard. Seems unlikely since it was a prebuilt for businesses.

    Correct.

Edit: On the plus side, it's a very cheap upgrade path if the board supports C2D CPUs. An E8600 can be had for around $15 on eBay .
