House of the Dead 2 Dreamcast - Demul

Hi trying to get House of the Dead2 Dreamcast to work on Demul
boots up ok but sticks on screen saying Checking Info

Any help would be appreciated

tried it mate for some reason super slow and unusable

This is also on Wii it's a pretty good port.
But I'm wondering if your issues are due to hardware.

I would have to agree with this MAME runs as is it is all dependant on hardware, if your hardware is slow then higher end games will be slow, I would guess that Demul uses more PC resources than the MAME does for the dreamcast port of that game so even if you got the game working in demul it will be slow

Also yeah I loved the Wii portage of those games, shame it did not include the first one though

Faster alternatives are


NullDC is a lower end emulator so you will get more speed from it, but for that there may be compat issues at some point though

Makaron is also an option for the arcade version that is based on Naomi hardware and very fast for that type of hardware

not sure why mame is slow

Got pc version but you cannot change resolution

its pretty low 640 approx.
