Default Help with DSi Ware games as .cia

So I have been wondering, can you play DSi Ware games while they are .cia with the DSi? Or that only works with the 3DS? And if you can, how can you add them to the DSi so you don't need to use an R4?

I think you pretty much need 3DS to run those.

There was one old flashcart that could get them working (but not cia format obviously)...after a quick google to check, it might've been CycloDS iEvolution.

    cia is 3DS only :/

You can still get DSI in NDS format but R4 cards ect only access DS side hardware and have no access to DSI features so kind of back to square one unless the DSIware download does not actually access DSI hardware, seems a lot of it does not

Not so sure the iEvolution had full access either, but never owned a DSI or that flash kit to be able to verify anything there it could from what I remember access a little more memory, if it's homepage is still active it is worth checking out if you can still get those cards and if they are not blocked by DSi firmware

From what I've read no R4 or other sorts of flashcarts can run dsiware, besides that one possibility I mentioned.
DSi game dumps (from retail carts) are a different story.

Yup exclusive DSi features never worked from a DS flash kit and the few DSi only games will just not work at all from retail cart dumps
