I've had great experience with using the overclock mod in the advanced section of dolphin. a lot of other things can help too. You should mess with it in a small window so that you can get good experience. Also, changing resolution can help too, just make sure you can see everything alright. I mean, if it can play that way. Mine is low res but it can play very well, I can see everything alright and it's a very playable experience.
