Angry How to use Memory Card with epsxe 2.0.5

This may be stupid but I just can't get it to work. I saved a game last night on my memory card because it didn't appear that the save state was working. I believe I closed it correctly, File-> Exit. I go to File, then BIOs and it opens my memory card, I can see the saved games icon there. I believe this means it did save. I can't get it to open though. There's no way to click on it. I've tried going into my files, reading countless forum posts and youtube videos. Nothing is helpful. Is there a way I can ever open this save? Or did it not truly save and I'm just seeing the icon??? Please, for the love of god, someone help me!

You load saves within the game itself.

So, if the game shows no saved games something went wrong? Is there anyway to fix it?
