tomb raider 1 + croc 2

Hello all

I've been having a problem with both tomb raider 1 and croc 2 first let's talk about the problem with tomb raider first.

whenever I load up tomb raider on my emulator it seems to be working fine but when I get to the main menu and press new game it crashes and closes is something wrong with it and another thing how come on the rom list of ps1 there are multiple tomb raider 1 downloads what's the difference between them all I only wanted the one where when you go into fights the music starts to play they were great times so if I have downloaded the wrong file then can someone help me fix this

ok now onto croc 2

same problem tho whenever I try to press new game it crashes and closes I really wanted to play croc 2 since it was one of my favourite childhood games so if there is a way to fix it I would appreciate it if someone could help me fix this but if there is no way to fix it then that's fine

Which emulator are you using and what version, and on what OS?
What are the names and extensions of the files you have extracted?
Is there an error message when your emulator fails?

The only solid information you have given is the names of two games. We need a bit more to help you.

Tomb Raider differences, none to ingame contents (maybe minor bug fixes) some differences for extra content like demo's are available on the disc

Make sure you are running from a cue file or ccd files and the binary file is in bin format or img format

ecm and ape files will need to be converted correctly

the version of the emulator is 1.13 and name is pSX my OS is windows 10
no there is not error message it just crashes the names of the files are croc 2 (USA).bin and croc2 (USA).cue the tomb raider is called tomb raider 2 [U] [SLUS-00437]

if you need any more information please ask so that you can help me

Use a better emulator

pSX may be an easy to use emu but it's compat kinda sucks

Retroarch or ePSXe can play those just fine

Retroarch should be the better option providing it is setup correctly

ePSXe if you just want to set it up for ease of use then use P.e.Op's Soft plugin for video so you are not changing setups per game, otherwise providing your system can handle it use the settings per game outlined at the PSXdatacenter
