Default Help with PS Controller Rumble [PJ64]

I have a USB Playstation controller that I use for most of the games I play on my computer, but I can't get the rumble (vibration) feature to work on N64 games with Project64. The controller configuration screen has an option for Rumble Pack, but I select it and nothing happens. The rumble feature works fine in ePSXe (after some fiddling and installing of drivers).

Seems someone with still and active steam account might've helped you out here.
Take a read of this, and don't worry links near the top

I tried installing the driver that post links to, but the only difference I notice is that the "Rumble Pack" option is no longer available in the controller menu.

It must've tried to make it generic.
Well, uninstall the drivers. Seems they don't work.

Which version you using, the latest?.
All I can last sugguest is the Nrage input driver.

If you've already tried that, then Im stuck lol.

Here you can d/l it. Checked out d/l it works, well the d/l does as for support...

    https://sourceforge.net/projects/nragev20/

Post edit* if it's grey'ed out or no longer available. Maybe that ment no support for pad/n64. I know you got psx to work, but totally different systems and emu's lmao. Anyway, gl with that plugin.

What OS are you using, and is it a PS3 or PS4 controller?

    User using psx/usb adaptor.

And I see where you're going with this now. PS3/usb and the drivers "can't remember the name"
Used it on my pc once, but charge cable was too small and well I had the ps2/pc magic box

It's a generic controller, made to look like a PSX controller. I have no idea what brand it is; I bought it years ago and there's no logo or anything on it. I'm running Windows 7, and this is the driver I'm using that works with ePSXe: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=49dI_8NCgG4 (link in description)

Just to clarify, I can play N64 games with it just fine, but there's no rumble feature.

Can you post pictures of the controller? Even without a logo or a label on the back somebody might be able to identify it and help you out here.

I didn't see that bit in this thread.

Where I was going is that some programs work best with PS3/4 controllers with software that makes them mimic XBOX 360 controllers. The information I requested above will help people to point the OP in the right direction for that software.

Yeah, hope they get it sorted.
Well, the last thing I could try was the plugin.

But there more people helping, better the odds. And nice to meet you btw.

Not the best quality; I just used my phone. I can dig out a better camera if this isn't enough.

Also, that NRage driver you linked me is just a DLL file. Where do I put it?

Oh, and nice to meet all of you as well~

In with the n64 plugins. "others will have dll files".

If it was an exe install, you might have to right click on the emu exe and search the path. If simply unzipped, should just be in with the other folders with the emu under plugins.

Also I remember that crappy thing. the damn D-pad had a horrible grip on it.
Btw, you can do what I did and buy the 3 in 1 PC magic box, and use any real psx/ps2/xbox/dc/gc/dc etc on your pc.

And it just pops up as a generic usb pad
Mines is the black box with: Saturn/DC/PS2
