I think it's too expensive, and the games are definitely too expensive. Checked Amazon, £280 for the console, £60 for Zelda or make that £90 if you want the special edition...

I was almost certainly going to buy one for Zelda, but will just get it for the Wii-U instead.

It will be more expensive here than JPN, NA, EU, UK and CAN. I haven't checked price speculations again, but over $450 won't be a surprise.

    Spoiler warning:

Default Call me jaded... Not excited in the slightest.

I haven't seen anything worthwhile from this console. At all.

For the foreseeable future, I'll be sticking with Sony. Ace Combat 7 is what I'm really waiting for.

I just hope that the Wii-U version of Zelda doesn't wind up with huge frame drops.

I've not been a Nintendo console fan since, well the N64 really. GC had one or two stuff on it I liked.

But damn, i've been seeing the trailers for for games pop up. And feck me, talk about awesome. I might find myself buying a nintendo again :O

The Mario reminds me so much of mario64 "pure sex" but in very interesting settings. Kart looks great, but Zelda!!!.
    Mind blown.

And to boot, launch title lol

Wait, did you guys just say 60 quid a game, and higher??

I watched the presentation live when it happended. Overall I think the Switch looks pretty cool. Though the games ARMS and 1 2 Switch look more like tech demos than real games. I do think Zelda: Breathe of the Wild and the new Mario game look amazing. I hope they live up to the hype. One thing I wish they would have released is the tech specs of the Switch. What is the CPU, GPU, RAM? Stuff like that. I know the GPU is something similar to an Nivida Tegra, but exact specs weren't exactly announced. Also, not a whole lot was said about its online features. I wonder if it will have an achievement system? I do like that it uses cartridges instead of discs though. The Joycons look a little flimsy to me, hopefully they won't be too bad to hold in your hand.

Japan will have open pre orders as of Jan 21st. Whenever the US can preorder, I definitely will be!

Still think the whole thing is ridiculous. Another Nintendo system just for some new Mario and Zelda games. Whoopy doo.

Haven't bothered with Nintendo since the cube.

Or maybe not his problem. I, too, believe Nintendo hasn't been good since the 'Cube days.

Well you're wrong and you should feel bad.

Nintendo as a developer has been aimed at families and kids since after the cube; yes. Nintendo as an open platform for other developers has been a goldmine though, but I digress. The main topic is the Switch. My fault for straying.

Like the Wii and WiiU, the switch will retain motion control; a technology developed by Nintendo and copied by others. However only pack-in and non-AAA titles focus on this. The most important aspect of the Switch is the wide developer support, exclusive/new titles and the fact that it is portable.

No thanks, I'll stick with Rogue Leader and F-Zero X from the golden days of Nintendo's past, rather than let myself get dragged down into their current dark ages.

It's overpriced compared to the competition. And they're now charging for online service. I'd be surprised if they moved 20 million of these systems. But I guess as long as Nintendo doesn't set their sales expectations too high for this system, then they might do alright.

    No proper Metroid, no purchase.

Now, if they got an Ys game...
