trying to run GigaWing 2, but my emulation fingers are rusty

Emulation sometimes isn't easy, specially when it comes to arcade.

SPECIALLY when you're years away from the emulation scene and you're asked to change your password because it is 1111 days old and has expired (srsly, should've taken a screenshot)

I'm trying to get mame4droid 1.1 reloaded to run gigawing2. The program says it's broken and I can't do anything about it. YET there are two bios-related files on the game page right here in emuparadise.

Still, I couldn't find any bios folder. I'm using the sdcard to store games and GigaWing 1 runs fine with this setup

bios roms would go in the roms folder anyway

But from the sounds of it the game will just not run in Mame4Droid anyway

Gigawing uses Capcom System 2 hardware but Gigawing 2 uses Sega Naomi hardware that is a lot harder to emulate and only the most recent versions of MAME are just starting to make those playable, but MAME4Droid is based on version 0.139, that is before Naomi was actually playable and MAME is now up to version 0.181

Looking for a dedicated Sega Naomi Hardware emulator or going for the Dreamcast port that is a slightly lower end version of Naomi hardware that the Dreamcast is based on and at the time had the most Arcade accurate ports of Sega Naomi games

I know you can emulate the Sega Dreamcast via an Android device (REICAST directly or Retroarch using the REICAST core) not sure about the Sega Naomi arcade though

Retroarch also uses MAME cores though not sure they are Naomi hardware compatible either but not looked into those yet myself, Warrior might know more on that subject
