Resident Evil 2 Dualshock version on PSP sound problem

Hello to everyone, I'm new to this forum, it is a pleasure to know this awesome website and helped me a lot to get the roms I wanted and I appreciate it, so here is my problem, yesterday I downloaded Resident Evil 2 dualshock version(folder's name Resident evil 2(USA-PSN) PSP Eboot) from nicoblog site, I run it into PSP and it works fine, at certain moment in the RPD location (I think the 2nd floor where there's some cop zombies), the sound cut off by itself, I thought it was a problem of the rom, but when I tried to adjust the volume [+] or reduce it [-], it doesn't work, I turned off the PSP and on and still the same issue, I tried almost every game in the memory stick still no sound, I reset VSH and the device, but nothing seems to be working, any help is welcome, thank you for your responses and support

So you're saying the audio stopped working now for any game.
Does audio work for the PSP menu at all and did you try some headphones just in case it's the speakers that are at fault?

Thanks for the reply, the sound of the keyboard (PSP menu sound) doesn't work even if I turn it on/off, I tried with headphones, no sound, I mention that when that happened, 1st game I tried after the one who caused the problem was Midnight Club L.A Remix, I adjusted the volume by pressing [+] it worked for few seconds in the intro of the game, then cut off again, from there, no more sound from any game I played

Hate to say this but it does sound like a hardware issue

But out of interest what custom firmware are you on? or are you still on a retail firmware?

P.S. the game will not of done this, it is an official PSN release of the game, but some custom firmware may of had a problem....

Well I got a psp street on 6.60 PRO-B9 firmware I think

Update that to Pro-C fix 3 and see if that changes anything (google will find that easy enough)

Pro C-2 does break PSone Classic support though so do not be temped by that version

I updated to 6.60 PRO-C Fix3 but nothing (by the way, I just noticed the games backgrounds are back when you try to select a game to play because before I was just seeing the wallpaper I was using) if I press the PS logo button it shows the volume bar but it's completely shutdown even if I press the 2 buttons to adjust it, it doesn't move, when I navigate in the PSP's menu it shows the volume bar everytime but can't be adjusted

hold the note button for a few seconds

it acts as a mute

if your PSP has one, not sure...

EDIT looks like the Street version does not have one...

The Attached is taken from the Street Manual, though I can't see any of it helping to be honest

If it's a Street then it has never had perm CFW...but yeah this seems to be a hardware failure of some sort. Might not even be worth trying to fix as this model is the cheapest, only has a mono speaker, built-in battery and no wifi at all.
