    Default mGBA savestate issues

I was playing Final Fantasy V and I accidentally hit F1 on my keyboard, which loaded a savestate that was close to the beginning of the game. I figured it wouldn't be much to just exit out and reload my in game save but when I started the game up again all of my saves were gone and it just showed the "new game" button. Is there any way I can get my save file back or should I just move on to a different game?

You are kind of out of luck in that regard sadly, if one uses savestates its best to make real saves and save states at the same time to avoid issues like this.

If you use mGBA in RetroArch its a much richer experience and you have the ability to undo a save/load state.

The Dev Team is constantly striving for enhancement and user friendliness.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.
