    Default Pseudo Saturn Kai Help

Hi there. I burned the Pseudo Saturn Kai Flasher Utility to a disc,
and whenever I try to flash the Cartridge, I get an error that says
"Firmware File Read Error". Is there a way to fix this, or have I
    burned the disc wrong?

    That is an odd error

Is that when detecting the cart and when selecting the firmware to flash it with?

If it's the latter it just sounds like a bad burn

Anyway a bit more information please?

It seems to detect the cart just fine, but when I select the firmware to flash it with, that's when it happens. I've tried 3 Different CDs. Do you think I need to try a different brand?

would be a very good idea

I take it you are using the slowest burning speed you can as that would help in getting a readable CD-R

Yep. Slowest speed possible. I'll go buy some different CDs later and get back to you with the result.

Nope. Same result with a different brand. I wonder if the Laser can't reach the center of the disc to read it.

Even if you've tried a different brand you might still be trying to use crap discs...even the same disc but branded differently. You need to know the manufacturer because the brand isn't all that relevant.

CMC and Moser Baer are examples of poor quality discs that many consoles may struggle to read, but might work ok in PC drives and also standalone players (CD/DVD/BD).

    Spoiler warning:

I see. Though I find it strange that Pseudo Saturn 0.831 and 0.832 installed just fine. This wasn't from the Kai Disc, it was from they're own discs. I would just use 0.832 if it didn't keep giving me Error 1.

    Is this the disc from

If so you can rip out

    PSKAI.BIN

    &/or

PSKAI256.BIN (If you have a chip in your cart that supports it, if you are not sure then use PSKAI.BIN)

Then build a Saturn Atlas CD (By Rockin B) with either of those included (You will need an OS that can handle the Atlas tools though, last time I used a Virtual Machine with 32bit XP installed)

I just tried that, but it won't burn. IMGBurn just keeps giving me the error "Non Sequential Track Number" when I select the .cue file. Google didn't help in figuring out what that meant, and when I tried to just burn the .ISO file, it wouldn't boot on the Saturn.

Sorry. I tried what you suggested, creating an Atlas CD, then burning it to a Disc.
