Default What is a good PSX emulator for Non-TAS recording?

Can anyone tell of an emulator that is good for recording videos in 2016? I have PCSX-rr and PSXjin but I had learned that they were outdated and I want the latest software.

    Any emulator that runs well
Retroarch or ePSXe maybe for recently developed on

Retroarch will be more active as far as current development goes

At the end of the day if a game works in an older or more basic emulator then use it

Being more to date does not always = works better, usually it just means that more resources are used and recording is always going to dive into the resources also so if you are using a lower end PC you will see some sort of impact to whatever you are trying to record

P.S. it is 2016, a typo or you lost 3 years
