Unhappy Help: PSP iso game won't load on PPSSPP

Hello , I was thinking maybe you guys could help me.
I downloaded a game and used power ISO to save it as an iso file, ppsspp would recognize it but when I want to play the game the screen turns black and I can't hear anything either , I tried running it with JPCSP but it'd say file not encrypted.
I tried all ppsspp versions, but none of it worked.

Can anyone help me with this, please?

It might be the game you're trying to run, just isn't compatible with ppsspp yet. Which game are you trying to run? I'm also wondering if maybe you just need to redownload the game. Especially since you mention using power iso. Normally you're supposed to download a game then extract it with either 7zip or winrar. Hopefully someone will be along soon who knows more than I.

Yeah you shouldn't need poweriso for anything.

What file/s do you have before using Poweriso?

Just sounds like you messed up the game dump before trying to run it

Anyway more information is needed before any help can be offered.

    thanks for your replies
the file I downloaded was a folder that contained another folder named PSP_game and a bin file . in order to run it on ppsspp I thought I should change the folder's format to iso. that way ppsspp recognized the file as a game and the game's icon showed up too but it wouldn't run.
Can you please tell me how I should run the game ?
these are the files in the folder

You have extracted the contents of the iso image.
That is because the iso had a winrar icon as winrar is associated with iso files by default, and you never looked at your file associations and unticked iso.

Just use the latest version of 7zip from the official site.

I also tried 7zip, but the same thing happened. I opened 7zip, selected both rar files (the downloaded file had 2 parts) and clicked on extract, the result was the same.

You had the iso file open with Winrar

The iso file is what you run in your PSP emulator of choice

Recommend you remove .iso from the integration of WinRAR

    Run WinRAR
    Hit Options
    Then Settings
    Then hit the Integration Tab
    Remove the Tick from ISO
    Then Hit OK

The screen grab of yours even shows the iso file is open

What is the actual file you downloaded then

and why does the folder have a little rar icon (that should only happen with files (not folder) that are associated with WinRAR [set in Integrated options])

if it was just a folder then the icon would be a folder and have the full path behind it

It also would not list the type of iso either, in this case it's a Joilet 9660 ISO file

It is the iso file (not folder) that you have open

The shot in this post show WinRAR with a folder open and with an iso open though not a PSP iso (I don't have any on my system so not the exact same format it's a UDF iso rather than Joilet type used for PSP iso's)

I also have ISO files associated with ISObuster hence the different icon

You may notice the lack of unpacked size info or archive type when you have a folder open in WinRAR
But have any archive or iso file as it happens, open, then you get archive type info and unpacked size info

Ok so the reason it showed a rar icon was because I took the screenshot from the original file that wasn't extracted .
that file contains a folder, and in that folder there's a folder named PSP_game and a bin file.
the reason why the name of the original file in these pics are different is because I downloaded the same game from two different sources hoping that I would find the iso file but I didn't find it in neither of them.

Again use 7-zip to extract Part1.rar

    Do not use WinRAR

You do know the iso file is there but WinRAR extracted the contents of the iso file to a folder called moe-getenya.iso, though a bit strange still as the iso file shown in the screen grab is akari.iso (guessing a different game that you happen to of done the exact same thing to and let WinRAR not just extract the original archive but also extract the contents of the actual iso file, it has already been mentioned how to fix that though)

P.S. I know what the contents of a PSP ISO look like so no need to post shots of those we already know what you have done (meaning you have the contents of the iso file extracted)

You still extracted the contents of the iso

The original archive does not have a folder called anything .iso, WinRAR created that folder when you extracted the iso file or rather when WinRAR auto extracted the iso (remove ISO from the integration of WinRAR or just use 7-zip on the original Part1.rar file)

Ok so I did as you said. as you can see 7zip extracted the files into a folder and the second picture is all there is in that folder.
    there is no iso file.

Of course you know what the contents look like, I just wanted to say that's all there is in the specific folder
and these are the screenshots for the atari folder. I extracted them with 7zip as you said (it isn't named atari anymore because that was too random and I confused the two different files )

Thats not one of our files so can't check that for you

Looks like you downloaded junk and not something we can support as it is not one of our files and we have rules about linking others uploads from other sites ect

If you do want to try and make an iso file though you need to use UMDGen

Asking for help with one file that you post a screen grab of that suddenly changes to a totally different one is going to confuse anyone

EDIT post a shot with 7-zip having the Part1.rar file open in it directly

EDIT actually don't even want to see it

I am guessing you had the Poweriso created iso file open in the first screen grab with WinRAR as that is definitely an iso file though if it was made with Poweriso that would just not work anyway

You could just ask the uploader or the site you got the game from
