First time using PCsx2 I wanted to play tony hawk

I've never actually used an emulator before, I'm no dummy with computers. I got the game running, but do I need a controller?, my mouse and keyboard won't work at all. I am at the main menu of game and can't click any options on menu I can't choose to enter story mode or anything I couldn't skip the start up videos when I launched game either

You need to go into config/controllers/plugin settings/pad 1 and setup your keys.

A controller would be best with that type of game though.
