The trick is to not own anything you can't replace with the disposable income you acquire by not supporting a deadbeat.

Then get used to sleeping on park benches.

    Or sucking dick for money.

Both of which I'm sure you're familiar with.

Tested Arkham Asylum. Before it chugged at like half speed on the lowest possible settings. Threw everything on high to see what would happen. Runs like a dream. Me so happy.
I gots me a Geforce GTX 750 Ti, no idea about the details but it works for all my shit.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

I figured anything more would have been overkill and a waste. I know it's low end but the fact that I can run stuff now like Skyrim almost maxed with texture packs makes me happy

Hell I couldn't even play Rayman Legends or Fallout 3 properly before. Even Ducktales remastered was slow

Good if it works for you. Still abysmal from a value or price/performance perspective over buying a better card used.

Now now don't get your panties in a bunch

Seriously though not much was in stock. They had the 750ti (2 left) at almost twice as much. But my PC isn't great to begin with. Not like I'd be able to run Doom and Fallout 4 for example no matter what I got. Bus speeds even pretty much match too, dunno if that helps. Been too long since I've fucked around with this stuff. As long as my psu doesn't explode I'm happy.

Haven't tried emulation yet. Don't think it will make a huge difference though on higher end stuff. God of War on pcsx2 for example would probably still chug.

I'm not upset ( ). Definitely too high for the 750(ti) at this point. I suggested the 750ti to Gobby for a lot of reasons but there were better options then and definitely now . GT 710 is extremely low power usage so it shouldn't be an issue. You're fine as long as you're using some manner of PCIe x16 slot.

Yep that's the slot I had. And low profile power usage was one of the major factors. Spent 6 hours reinstalling everything that wouldn't run properly last night. Then ignored it all and played Baldurs Gate

Glad I'm finally able to relax a bit and play some FFXV.
