Well it's an Aspire One netbook. Ram limited to 1.5GB simply because there's 1 slot, chipset limit of 2GB and Acer put 512MB ram on the mainboard.
HDD is 8GB SSD, but this model lacks the sata socket (although everything besides the physical port is there)...so can't swap in either spare sata drives I have (320/500GB).

Has 2 card slots, one marked as storage exapnsion but this model can't use that slot as a boot drive.

I did some testing using a lite win7 32bit installation, it installs ok and I even found every driver for it but ram and HDD limitations means it's just bleh.

So I'll go back to lubuntu I guess.

It's fucking tiny Smallest netbook (8.9" screen) I've ever played with and it's in perfect condition.

Lubuntu did work fine on it so I'll just install that again. Probably add an SD card to that expansion slot too but atm 8GB is the largest card on hand that I don't need for anything else.

My main laptop is a Pavilion dm1 with AMD dual core x64, 11.6" screen, Radeon HD 6320, 8GB ram & 320GB HDD.
Only slightly bigger than the old netbooks (majority are 10.1") but certainly performs heaps better...although I don't play any games on it.

I have never bought any laptops...well technically I bought this one brand new for somebody else as a present but ended up getting it when it was no longer needed.
Last time I bought a desktop (well built one myself from new parts) was probably 10 years ago.

I've never cared for them . I mostly use the buttons with my Vita and I'm glad they added support for button controls before abandoning the system.

The free update period is over. I don't think they nag about it anymore.

Yeah I've messed around with some win7 installs on some different computers recently and I haven't seen any bs.
