Honestly I think I'm pretty ignorant about north and south America, but it's easy enough to look things up especially now (not so much back when I was in high school).
I'll admit ignorance since I rarely look at maps beyond my own state but there's very little need for me to.
it is far easier now than when I was in high school(2001-2005). if you didn't have a decent library or internet(best we could get was dial up) it was a pain to look local or international locations up.

We didn't have internet at all when I was in high school. Less than 1000 students so the school library wasn't massive...if you needed more info you had to go use the public library.
Not overly difficult but way more effort required for accessing large amounts of information.

I hold no expectations on geographical knowledge without internet access.

I have my doubts that any given foreigner (to the US obviously) could correctly label every state, let alone major cities within them, if given an unlabeled map of the US and asked to fill it in by memory.

    And how many Americans could

To be fair though the U.S. has a lot of states compared to (most?) other countries.

Think I could get over 30 right off the top of my head.

I knew Ontario is north of Minnesota but yeah, the southern border of Ontaria extends all the way to New York.

No way I could. It's one of a few countries in the world that I can't ever see myself visiting.

I'm sure it's a distressing figure but yeah, lots more states compared to other countries or continents .

How does the series play? I've been meaning to try it at some point but never got around to it.

Going to save up to get my own laptop, so looking at maybe a Kindle to get for my birthday. (Early of course, since I start my shift next weekend). Should be some fun.

Around $650 - $750 on sale is usually around the best value. Anything much past that and you're better off looking at customs, last I checked.

Yeah I saw one for around $600~ I might save up for. Since I'm only going to be there for a few hours after I'm done with voice tracking I don't need that much, but I am staying with my girlfriend on weekends. Either way the Kindle will last me a while, just placed my order for it. Very excited.
