This November French custom arcade cabinet manufacturer R-Cade is running a retro event during the Paris Manga trade show, I'm just putting this there as it might interest a few of the fine folks lurking in these parts. Scroll for the full press release.
THE R-CADE CUP: THE 100 % RETRO-GAMING SHOW!
Organized by arcade cabinet manufacturer R-CADE, the R-Cade Cup is a new event dedicated in its
entirety to the Retrogaming Culture by offering exhibitions and tournaments. For this first edition, which
will take place during the Paris Manga trade show (Paris Expo - Porte de Versailles) from November 4 to
6, 2016. We prepared a schedule choke-full of a 100 % 2D Arcade Games from the '90s! Many cabinets
will be available to you to play numerous fighting games, sport games, beat 'em ups and even shoot 'em
ups from the golden age of video games
Finally, the R-Cade Cup stage will allow you to witness several exhibitions of arcade games by talented
top players, but also many tournaments. Some might even be dedicated to brand new games from the
eSport Scene!
THE TOURNAMENTS*
The « Retro eSport » is at he heart of the R-Cade Cup, with fighting game tournaments on “old school“ titles,
featuring the best French players. You must already know most of them, but some will surprise you. However,
whatever happens, the hype will be real!
