Default Controller plugin issue on Mac OS Sierra

So I've been using PCSX-Reloaded to play ff8 and everything was fine until I upgraded my OS to Sierra and now the keyboard controls don't work inside the game. I'm assuming the new OS has bugged out the controller plugin, but that's just a guess. I would test it out by using a different plugin but I can't find anywhere that explains how to do that correctly. I know where the plugin folder is but also I can't seem to find alternative plugins for PCSX-R. Any creative suggestions are appreciated greatly.

Might aswell upgrade the emulator for something that is new on the scene (Not that new now)

    Look into Retroarch

http://www.libretro.com/ has more detail on that

If you want to stick with what you have try removing the config file and re-setup the controls
