Default New Student (ePSXe on Tekken 3)

New kid on the block. First off, Let me start by expressing how great of program ePSXe is . Clearly, owning a PlayStation to this day is worth a lot more, but the beauty of a emulator is in the variety of platform performance. You can use ePSXe on your PC, Smartphone, Tablet. Enabling cheat codes is less complicated. And modding games has never been more space-efficient. Old school graphics can save you from a lot of disk cleanup's.

I look forward to sharing my experience with ePSXe on this forum and receiving feedback to improve my experience and performance.

I did a Tekken 3 gameplay over the weekend with a custom version of Panda in white/pink fur but there's a funny texture color error around her face. I uploaded it to Youtube. https://youtu.be/1p_ZHN_urhs

http://psxdatacenter.com/ is great place to get enhanced graphical setups per game providing your hardware is capable of supporting it

If you want accuracy though Retroarch is a better option and a lot less to setup using it's Beetle/Mednafen PSX core

Mednafen PSX core in RetroArch is far less demanding than BSNES/Higan and its very simple, virtually a "Set it and Forget it" kinda deal.

It honestly feels like I'm using a real Playstation unlike epsxe.

    You have enhancement options like
    dithering removal
    internal upscaling
    removing mem card 2
    widescreen hack
    skip bios
    CPU Overclocking

Most of the core options apply to the new OpenGL renderer which is still a big WIP but its still fun to tinker with.

You can also give various effects to the screen with shaders, CRT/blurs/smoothing/etc.

Just a heads up RetroArch may seem a tad confusing at first but once you get the general gist of things its easier to understand than the typical point & click GUI.
THE BEST METHOD to run PSX games (and everything else for that matter) is via Retroarch - http://buildbot.libretro.com/nightly/
If you have any questions on how to set it up on Windows please feel free to ask, its very easy.

I'm able to remove mem cards, use skin bios and cpu overlocking on epsxe. I've used RetroArch on the iPhone and I do like it. It does take up a little less space compared to epsxe. I get what you're saying though.
