Hi all, just joined the forums as I've been using Emuparadise for a while now so want to get more involved with the community.

To start off I just want to ask what people are using to emulate the Sega Saturn? I've got the console but I really enjoy up-scaling retro games to 1080p, howeve the Sega Saturn emulator I got doesn't really do that. Any suggestions on what to use to get the Saturn games looking all lovely?

    Thanks in advance!

P.S. I'm currently using the Yabause Emulator

Only thing you can do is filtering there are no 3D upscaling emulators of the Saturn

Depending on your graphics chip you can do that directly with your graphics drivers, that will work with anything

SSF and what you are using, or Retroarch using the Yabause core are the only real options for Saturn Emulation though

Retroarch should have a few more generic options though than Yabause does on it's own and SSF is a totally different emulator anyway

Ah right, that's a bit of a shame as I only recently got my Saturn so I wanted to check out a few of the games in HD. Is there any reason why the Saturn emulators don't upscale?

Because no one implicated it and it was accuracy that was aimed for rather than HD upscaling that causes extra issues using hardware scaling methods

As a result Saturn emulation works very well so far with little draw backs

Sorry, got totally distracted by the Nintendo Switch video!

That is true, some other emulators do struggle sometimes. Though I'm happy to put up with that as most games look amazing when they're upscaled to HD.
