This Guide uses the same application versions, the only difference is more games were tested, and a slightly simpler setup guide, plus added Cover Art (POPS was updated but, not stable ... OPL was updated with change only to credits screen, so nothing important or worth updating, Opl 896_All used in guide, check package for more)
1. http://www.epforums.org/showthread.p...HDD-%282016%29
2. http://www.epforums.org/showthread.p...ing-No-Problem
(hdd formatted using winhiip not unlanchelf’s menu, then +OPL partition created by running “Open PS2 Loader.ELF”, then resized to about 2 gigs for the vmc files of about 150 games at about 8 mb each ....... “POPS” folder created in __common partition at default size of 128 mb ............ __.POPS1 partition created to the total size of the .vcd playstation files for that partition ......... 8 .vcd games max will show in ulaunchelf’s table, regardless of size, anymore may get overwritten when you add more PS2 games in larger hdds)
(PS1 .vcd files, more than 8, will not appear in your Ulaunchelf's listing of files, also some may be overwritten this is simply a known problem, I used seven games for PS1, and they were not overwritten with a 500 gig harddrive (sata to ide converter with a 2.5 inch hdd on a fat ps2, following the formating instructions to reduce errors)
(These should address and answer all the problems from my previous guide, I made sometime ago, anyhow, I could only use 480i sdtv mode, until I used a Component Switch then I could use 480p hdtv mode, with POPS the PS1 Emulator, sure many have the same problem)
Internal Hard Drive (“__common” = Partition, “__POPS1” = Partition, “POPS” = Folder in the Partition)
__common/POPS/IOPRP252.IMG
__common/POPS/POPS.ELF
__common/POPS/GameSaveFolder/CHEATS.TXT (PS2 Codes or $Commands, one or the other) (For Each Game)
__.POPS1/Wild Arms.VCD (all your .CUE/.BIN converted games go in this partition) (Max Size 131 Gigs, or create more partitions ... "POPS1", "POPS2" upto 10)
+OPL/Wild Arms.ELF (all your .ELF, POPSTARTER.ELF renamed files go in this partition, allows "Open PS2 Loader" to show your games on a list) (goto Hddmanager, and make sure this partition is, 128mb to 256 or large enough for all your POPSLOADER FOR VCD.ELF renamed files, and game images if any you add) (allow OPL to run once to create this partition, then resize it using hddmanager, see below)

Updated Some Games that actually worked, assuming you have a hdtv that supports PAL display mode, most or all do, then you can get by using "vfix" instead of pal2ntsc w/yfix patcher for "PAL to NTSC", also the PAL Mode of GSM from Open PS2 Loader, then you should be fine with all the result mentioned in this guide. Follow the Previous Guides Listed for setting up PS1 Backups, also the examples in the package, so I tried to make it easy, this is mainly a compatibility list update, and simpler formatting instructions for your PS2 Harddrive, all finished now

BUMP
Added some more Box Art, not much. Widescreen patches for Ar Tonelico, Atelier Iris 2 and 3, and Mana Khemia, breaks the screen in most instances so you can see where the screen reaches the drawing limit (because the games use 2D engies)..................there's a few 480p hex edits at "ps2wide" use those instead. Same effect for some of the widescreen patches that attempt to correct the aspect ratio for 4:3 with the FMVs, so you just have to delete those entries. Example: Xenosaga and Suikoden Patch just delete the entry with the FMV Fix, if you don't want the screen broken, thats easy enough to do, so I didn't include those in the small patch archive for widescreen in the link from opening post.
Widescreen Fixes using the Cheat Engine in Open Ps2 Loader, for Crimson Sea 2 and Echo Night Beyond. Drop the .cht files into the CHT folder of Open PS2 Loader and enable the Cheat option from menu of OPL, use "autoselect". Fixes added to Archive in Opening Post.
......................
......................
Switched to "Libcrypt Enabled Mode 2-4 and 9 off", to help with the broken loud music, that occurs from time to time when transitioning screens in Saga Frontier 1, not a complete fix, also changed from using "codes" to enable joystick, to simply using the "s-commands", "$SAFEMODE and $SMOOTH" (you can't use both "codes" and "s-commands" at the same time without conflicts, what "$SAFEMODE" does is stop the emulator from disabling the native joystick support, and also impacting performance slightly, I completely missed that fact in the compatibility list the opening post references, a few games are set up in the pack, no games themselves are included).
......................
......................
Added d-pad to joystick .pnach patch for Steel Dragon EX, and cheat fixes for "Dot Hack 1-2-3-4 d-pad to joystick and invert. Uploaded Open PS2 Loader to 973 all, removed splash screens, same setup works so your good, you have to change your configuration files folder from the old CFG folder to the new folder opl uses you can find it in opl's save folder in your harddrive, no problem there...................few more game fixes, widescreen and controller added, some box art added.
......................
......................
Updated Open PS2 Loader to 976, removed the logo, (couldn't make the icons invisible since there's some added checks) ... ... ... ... added file examples to help set up the Ulaunchelf Theme, in the folder "Themes ULAUNCH and OPL.rar" ... ... ... ... (Did not update ulaunchelf to 4.43a (its only bundled with fmcb 1.95), because it does not launch from Open PS2 Loader when you have it in your memory card, you can still launch ule_4.43a directly from ulaunchelf, its either a bug or its done to help lock out fmcb 1.95 with a particular set of applications (this pack uses fmcb1.8 (no logo) ... check package in opening post).
