    Exclamation Channel F Emulator

Anybody got one besides the disgrace they call MESS or MAME? I want a streamlined one, I searched on Google. Nothing.

Well since you went raging about this I will just tell you this.
Use a stand alone build of Mess rather than Mame. Make sure you have the right bios, search google for "mess bios" the first or second result will be a great resource for Mess bios. Put your bios in the \mess\roms\ folder.
You can put your roms wherever you like but make sure the path is set in the mess.ini.
Use the following command line to load your game.
    mess64.exe channelf -cart "path\to\rom\romfile.zip"

I use a front end for my emulation and this works perfectly. Took me all of 5 minutes to get it up and running.

How exactly do you create a mess.ini?
That never seemed to be in any of the README's I have ever read on this silly emulator.

    mess64.exe -cc

    That will generate the mess.ini
