PSX Analogue issues

On some of the playstation games they start by showing me that the analogue is off, I just want to know if there's a way to turn it on.
and before anyone asks, the controller is saying the analogue is on.

So far I've hit the issue on Brave Fencer Musashi and Alundra 2.
without changing anything I've got set up it works in Spyro Year of the Dragon.

F5 is basically the the same as the analog button on a Dual Shock controller. Some games are made for analog, some won't detect your controller at all unless you hit the switch.

Totally normal, just one of the things you have to learn to use ePSXe.
