Holy crap, you've got a server that can pound games into the ground, still. Somewhat old tech, but daaaaaaammmmmmn. Especially jealous of that internet!

My sig has most of the particulars of mine, but to fill out more details:

    Monitor: 40" Samsung TV @ 1920x1080
Sound: 7.1 Home Theater System: Sony STR-DH720 with Polk & JBL Speakers
Mouse: Logitech G700s (my G700 developed a double clicking issue and I ruined it about 12 hours ago while trying to fix it)
Keyboard: Logitech G15 (decade old and still going strong)
Keypad: Logitech G13 (noticing a theme?)
Other Drives: 256GB A-DATA SSD (used to be OS drive, but is in the process of failing. Using it for games until it goes completely)
    Western Digital 1TB (for games)
Western Digital 2TB (for videos/general backups)
Disc Drive: Regular old DVD-RW. (doesn't get much use these days. Used to have a blu-ray drive but it died and ruined one of my movies)
CPU Fan: Coolermaster Hyper T-2 (Used to have a Zalman, which was AWESOME, but the mounting system was crap and it eventually just fell off)
PSU: Rosewill 450w (80+ Gold rated. Used to have a gold rated High Power 600w, but it failed randomly.)
Gamepad: PS3 controller masquerading as a 360 controller via Scarlett Crush's drivers. (used to have it working with bluetooth, but it simply stopped working one day and hasn't since, no matter what I've tried. Wired still works luckily)

Basically my PC is a combination console/home theater/gaming rig. Surround sound is great in FPSes!

    Mobo: ASRock Z97E-ITX

Seems like a lot of your parts have/are failing?

Yeah... the mouse was like 5 years old, so wear was expected. The A-DATA SSD was bad out of the box, but it was past the RMA period when I found out because I was building the PC paycheck to paycheck. The CPU fan was just annoying, because I was able to hit 4.4GHz on air and remain stable, but the specific model I had's mounting system is well known to be crap (not well known enough by me though ). The PSU was just from a cheap brand.

And I actually ruined an i5-4670k and Z87E-ITX mobo when I was removing the aforementioned Zalman fan because I wasn't grounded properly. But I can only blame myself for that.

My current PC is a crappy laptop. It's got some crappy i3 2.2 Ghz processor, 4 GB RAM, and intel HD 3000 graphics.

I'm going to be building a PC in a couple months though. So far, I plan on getting an i5 4460, an R9 280x, and 8 GB RAM. It depends on how the release of the 300 series affects prices though, so I may get something different by the time I order the parts.

    Gateway 842GM Specs

(In JG Hertzler's voice) (You know, General Martok from Deep Space Nine)

It a glorious day for the Empire, my brothers and sisters. This miserable top'agh of a computer, that my ex-mother-in-law purchased for me and my ex-wife no less than 9 years ago, finally lost its power supply unit! It died screaming for mercy, my friends. Its cries were heard by Fek'lahr himself! May it rot in Gripthorr!!

To celebrate the demise of this useless piece of patakgh, I purchased THIS:

(Originally I linked to newegg, but I got the last one, so they took down the spec sheet)

HP Compaq 8000 Elite CMT Specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo at 3.0 Ghz

    250 gb Hard Drive

    64 bit Windows 7 Professional

    etc etc

It did not come with a monitor! I did not need one! Its graphics and sound processors were nothing, nothing! No matter! I stripped the 842GM of the custom gpu and spu that I'd purchased for it years ago! The gpu was compatible, but the spu crashed my operating system. I tell you, many lowly jaa-chuks suffered because of my wrath! But my hearts swelled with joy, still for the Realtek integrated spu would be enough for my needs.

Now, for only slightly more money than the repairs on my 9 year old computer would have been, I have one twice as fast, twice as powerful! May the glory of the Empire continue forever! May the songs be sung of the mighty migration of Steam apps and Humble Bundle games!

    QUAP'LAA!!

    Hardware:

    ASUS U36SG with i7-2620M, 4GB RAM, 500GB 5400RPM HDD and 8-cells battery.

    Software:

Arch Linux x86_64, with Openbox as WM and DE and my custom software collection. No DM (login through tty).
Sent Windows that came with the laptop back, and got a refund.

    The Dude minds.

    Cool My "Console"

The "Console" is a group of three separate computer systems, all running the same 64-bit Windows 10, and each working independently to perform specific tasks, and to commune with the others, and carry out whole projects as a group. Alice is the main game system, and the backup server, shes the big bad girl on the block, a class 4 military AMD 4ghz quad-core system with 5 separate internal hard drives and a GTX650ti Nvidia graphics card, plays all my games from NES, SNES, N64, GameCube, and Wii, also PS1, PS2, and Sega Master System, and have whole hard drives full of games for em all, from the very original first Japan-version Nintendo Mario World, to the latest Fallout 4 from Bethesda. Kara is my second-in-line system, with her 3ghz overclocked 6000 series Athlon64 Dualcore, which handles all my music and pictures, movies and other media, my SecondLife viewer, and all that, and even has hookups for cable TV to watch and record all your shows to hard drive. Then there's Brooklyn, last but not least, also an Athlon64 Dualcore, who carries out the main duties of the file system manipulation, exchanging data, and controlling my local network. Together, they make up the best single setup ive been able to come up with yet, with little income and investment. I can play my SecondLife at triple-screen 1024p, and my games in triple screen 1080p HD panoramic, and still manage downloads, mail, instant messages, videochat, pay all my bills, manage all my accounts, and everything you can name, right from my living room; and on the fastest secured & firewalled, locked-down network anywhere around here. I designed and built the whole network myself, and am constantly making improvements. I also built my roommates Intel Pentium system in his bedroom named Anita, the "guest computer" Dell GX260 in the front room for friends to use which goes by Polly, and my neighbors Optiplex 380 named TomTom. I have two wireless routers programmed with DD-WRT sotware to handle the traffic including one 300Mb/s for guest traffic and my secured VPN connection; and the main host router which controls WAN access, and runs my Console at 1Gb/s through Cat-6 550mhz gold-plated cables. Ive measured download speeds over 200MB/s, more than 3x my cable broadband connection speed.

Alice (because she's in a white case with blue lights) is built around an MSI A78 motherboard with an AMD A8 3.6ghz Trinity quadcore OC'd to 4.0ghz sitting under a 90mm 4-bar copper cooler, 8gb Gskill 2133mhz OC ram in dual-channel, 5 internal Seagate drives: 2x1TB, 2X500GB, 1x250GB, and my 6th SATA port im running external hot plug, so i can manage hard drives before i ever install them. Also has 3x ports for USB 3.0, and 6x USB 2.0 ports. Her Graphics is managed by an all-Nvidia GTX650ti BOOST edition with 2gb ram pushing 4x 23" 1920x1080 DVI LCD's, and is all powered by an EVGA 750-watt supply, and kept within temps by 5x90mm fans.

Kara is an older HP MCP61 motherboard flashed with a fresh custom BIOS, with an AMD 2.8ghz Athlon64x2 6000 dualcore OC'd to 3.02ghz, sporting a compact 60mm 4-bar copper cooler, 4gb PNY 800mhz ram in dual-channel, her own Seagate 500gb HDD, and an LG Multi-Drive DVD-RW. Her graphics is run by a MSI Nvidia GT640 1gb, pushing 3x 17" 1280x1024 LCD's. Also a Realtek PCI gigabit ethernet card for dual connections, and a WinTV videocard, for cable TV and recording shows, with 5.1 surround and ins/outs for regular RCA cables, S-Video 2, and a 1394 Data port. She also throws in multiple portable drive connections, including SD and MicroSD, and Smart Media and ProDuo cards, and 6x standard USB 2.0 ports. A 600w power supply handles everything fine, and has 4 fans easily keeping her cool.

Brooklyn is an older model as well, centered on an ASUS AM2 motherboard and an AMD 2.6ghz Athlon64x2 5600 dualcore processor, and 4gb PNY 800mhz ram in dual-channel. She's got twin LightScribe labelmaker CD-RW drives, a single 250gb HDD, and an Nvidia GT610 graphics card holding fine with 2x 17" 1280x1024 LCD's (with a port for one more). She is powered by an efficient 350w PSU and has 3 fans.

    Wanna game?

    Core 2 Duo E6550 @2.33ghz
AMD Radeon HD 6450 (1GB VRAM)
    1TB HDD (7200RPM)
    Dual monitor setup, primary 1080p 24", secondary 1280x1024 17"
CM Storm QuickFire Rapid (Cherry MX Blues)

Not very impressive... But I use it primarily for light gaming and web browsing, I don't really emulate much.

Oh where do I even begin/
Alright well for my main PC, it's a cheap MSI A55m mainboard, A10-5800K @ only +200 MHz because the VRMs just won't take any more at all, 8 GB of Samsung "Wonder Ram" (DDR3L), Radeon 7850, trash can stock cooling, Corsair CX500m, 120 GB Samsung 840 (as yes my only drive atm because my 500 gb Travelstar is dead), other various cheap garbage, with a nice Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 and a 23.8" Samsunng display that has developed diagonal lines throughout. Beautiful.

Other machines include an oldskool P4 Prescott build (P4 531, Foxconn 915 mb, 2 GB Hynix PC3200 @ 220 MHz, Radeon X1950 XTX Crossfire, Sound Blaster Live!, some EnGenius Atheros wifi card, Silverstone Grandia case with a few ThermalTake 12 cm fans, 40+250+60 gb HDD)

And an even older IBM PC 300PL (550 MHz Katmai PIII, 256 MB PC133, nVidia's original Quadro SDR (ELSA GLoria II), Crystal FM Synthesizer, 14 GB fujitsu HDD)

I have various other old machines, ranging from Macintosh LC IIIs, to PowerBooks and ThinkPads. /I have a bunch of old stuff for some reason/

My PC is one I built partly from new parts and partly from inherited parts from PCs long ago.

CPU: FX 6350 (OC to 4.2GHz)
GPU: GTX 960 (EVGA FTW 2GB)
    16GB of Ram, 128GB SSD, 3x1TB HDD, 250GB HDD

I managed to build it for cheap and it's served me well, though I had a GTS 450 before the GTX 960.
