i got it 2 years ago but did enough upgrading that windows told me i had to re-activate (damn microsoft):

    Biostar M7VIQ Socket A
Win XP Home (didn't see the point of spending $116 to upgrade to Pro)
AMD Athlon XP 2000+ (slightly o/c)
    1x 256MB & 1 x 512 MB PC2100 DDR
XFX GeForce 4 4200 Ti DVI/S-vid out 128 MB VRAM
Audigy 2 OEM (my most recent addition, if you don't have 5.1 you don't know what you're missing)
    40GB 7200rpm
    Optorite 16x DVDRW Dual Layer
16x DVD-ROM (i don't use my burner to play game discs)
    Onboard 10/100 lan
About 15 extra fans that i put in for a big LAN party in 85 degree weather
    Samsung Syncmaster 15" TFT
    Microsoft optical mouse
    plain old keyboard
    Altec lansing 5.1 speakers
Epson Stylus color 777i BJ printer (Noisiest. Printer. Ever.)
    Office 2003 Pro

that's all i can think of. my old comp is in the same room:

    Pentium 1 MMX 200Mhz
    Win 98 SE
    96 MB RAM
13 GB 7200 rpm (used to have a 4.3 GB 5400 rpm but it got trashed)
    ASUS board
3dfx Voodoo 3 PCI with 16 MB (!) Vram (oh yeah!)
    SB AWE 32 sound
    24X cdrom
15" samsung CRT (used to have 17" acer but the power cord got bitched)

Don't laugh, that used to be some hot shit back in '97, i could run Quake II fast and it only took me 10 minutes to load a level in Sin. took all my friends at least 15.

7000, that's insanely too much for such a computer.

How'd you get Longhorn already? And 512 Video card? is that an two SLI cards? Or one monster QuadroFX card . . .

    I bet he means $700 . . .

Hmm, my prediction would be either massive slightly illegal downloading (haha) or video editing. (I'd lean toward the latter, of course . . .)

MASSIVE video editing (im taking a video production class at school) and tons of gaming goodness
