Ideal Emulator for recording Sega Genesis games?

I am trying to record videos for Youtube but the videos always seem to look choppy on fullscreen and distorted on fullscreen. What settings, emulator and codecs that I can use to remedy this?

For actual consoles you need a good capture device/software

you never mentioned the console you are recording though

anyway all sega consoles had composite Red White for audio and Yellow for video and there is a nice little USB capture device just for that

ezcap.tv is a nice little capture device (the software it comes with is ok though there are plenty of other options)

EDIT this section is for real hardware users so unless you are emulating on a Dreamcast then you posted in the wrong section, you need Everything Emulation instead of Everything Console

Does anyone know of an ideal emulator, codecs, editors and compression for recording Sega Genesis games? I already Gens but I don't it is good for Youtube's current standards.
