The first thing I do in Oblivion is gut level scaling and leave it in a ditch to die.

Yeah but even if I do use a controller I'd either have to rearrange shit so I can game on the couch using the tv, or use a smaller screen and be stuck on the office chair.
Playing games on the computer is something you do at work

Is that just enemy level scaling, limits on skill levelling or what?
Been a while since I played it tbh and obviously I only play console versions.

Enemies level up with you and their gear scales. If I remember right some enemies are also just replaced by insanely powerful ones. By the time you're high level you'll be running into nothing but super bandits with glass or better, super ogres, and other retardo foes.

Beating the game at level 1 is easier than doing so at higher level.

Oh right, yeah it's completely different to III which to me seems much more rewarding personally.
I'd rather start off weak with a bit of challenge then build up to uber buff flying dood with dominating magic and archery.

That's how I've always felt about it. I'd rather die to things I'm not supposed to face instead of duking it out with some super beast that shakes the foundations of the earth at level 1.

If you really want to party in ragetown try some Souls.
