2 rear fans should be plenty, if you want some for the front or side that can be done fairly easily.
Turn the case upside down if you want the psu at the bottom.

You should build up some contacts with decent folk that actually give things away. Plenty of people still send stuff to the tip (I guess you call it the dump) but some are actually nice enough to enquire if you want something before turfing it, if they are aware that you are always looking for odd things that others no longer want.

oddly not many places will let you junk old pc's tv's ect without paying to "recycle them"

I used to have 2 of those old huge beige cases they both had intel pentium cpus I remember laughing at the clock speeds on them and at one point thought to make 1 into a dos machine since they both had cd drives in them. oh and tiny ass hdd like 8mb or something.

I meant fluff as in you're paying for a feature you can mod into something old.
We aren't talking about the difference between a really old car with limited safety options and a new one with ABS etc.
